TEST YOUR LIMITS IN THE ULTIMATE TEST OF ENDURANCE, SKILL & FEAR
The UK’s biggest and best outdoors extravaganza is challenging the UK’s adventurers to step up and take on the Great Outdoors Quest.
The British countryside is THE place to escape to, tackle pulsating river currents, hang precariously off the side of a cliff face or launch yourself down terrifying terrain on your bike and the people at The Ordnance Survey Outdoors Show are looking for someone who can do all this and more.
Adrenalin junkies, adventure racers and lovers of the outdoors take note! The Ordnance Survey Outdoors Show is back this year and is set to tip the adventure barometer with the organisers struggling to fit all the exciting new additions through the doors!
The Great Outdoors Quest will take a selection of the UK’s very best adventure racers – dump them at a TOP SECRET location somewhere in the UK and in an attempt to separate the men from the boys and women from the girls the teams will be need to fulfil a number of tasks to discover who is the strongest, fittest and most fearless and who can arrive at the opening of The Ordnance Survey Outdoors Show first. The team first through the doors at the NEC on Friday 14 March will win exclusive, money can’t buy prizes.
If you think you have got what it takes then send a short video or powerpoint presentation explaining or, even better, illustrating why you should be chosen to take part. Contestants will be expected to take part in a selection of activities from cycling to kayaking to climbing and abseiling with some surprises thrown in too.

Entries after March 1st 2008 will not be accepted.
Teams should feature one man and one woman and at least one member of each team should hold a full UK driving license. Contestants will be required to be available between the dates of 11 and 14 March. All equipment needed for the challenge will be provided.
Taking place from Friday 14th March to Sunday 16th March 2008 at the NEC, Birmingham, This year’s show will be staged in three huge showcasing halls, 375 exhibitors and 25 thrilling new feature areas will squeeze all they have to offer in the 31,000 m2 of space.
One exhilarating new feature set to send pulses racing and the adrenalin flowing will be the totally unique ‘Ford Skymasters Challenge’ climbing competition. Introduced into the UK for the very first time it will bring together some of the international climbing elite to take on this brand new challenge.
With the organisers cramming more action into three days than should be deemed possible this is one show all outdoor adventure enthusiasts should write in bold capitals into their diaries!
