As part of our expansion plans we have started to add an increased range of nautical items starting with some excellent value VHF FM radios from Midland Communications. The advance in technology now means that anyone with the correct training and licence can have the reassurance of sailing and boating knowing that the shore and other vessels are in easy contact.

Why not use a mobile phone? You can't put out an emergency call to all surrounding vessels and you can bet your life that the batteries will be dead the minute you really need to use it.

Well November has arrived and we have had our first snow up here in Scotland. There isn't much at low levels but the hills I can see from the office window have a good covering. Accompanied by a brisk Northerly wind it is getting fairly chilly here so we thought it would be a good time to add a couple of stylish portable gas heaters to the range.
